To harness energy, technology such as solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric units, geothermal pumps, and biomass burners is commonly utilized based on the source of energy. Solar panels harness sunlight to generate electricity, wind turbines convert the kinetic energy of wind, and hydroelectric power plants utilize flowing water to generate power for turbines. Plant and organic matter are burned in biomass systems to create fuel, and geothermal pumps draw heat from the earth.
The equipment differs by source, but all aim to convert natural power to usable energy for the home, industry, and grid.
